WTF… That Was a Total Waste of Time
If you read my blog, you know that I lost my job 2 week ago. The bad news sent some wheels in motion; basically I have been looking into alternatives such as self employment. It may not be a lucrative career path but, at least I have more control over my future and my hours. I had heard about a program run through Employment Insurance that may give grant money to someone starting a small business. A Mini Vacation Hubby had work in Vancouver this week so, me and the boys tagged along to take advantage of some time in the Big City (big compared to Victoria at least). Everything is bigger and better in Vancouver; the shopping, the eating, the sights and the activities. To top it all off, I have family in Greater Vancouver; a week of good shopping, good eats and family time, it’s an official mini vaca for me. The change of pace makes me feel recharged and refreshed. WTF is Wrong with Some Smokers?
Ok, here is the deal… I hate cigarette smoke. It disgusts me. I don’t want to smell it, I don’t want it wafting anywhere near me and I sure as hell don’t want it anywhere near my babies. Considering my hate of cigarette smoke, I guess I am lucky to I live in a place where there are rules that prohibit smokers from smoking in indoor public spaces, on patios and around doorways and windows. WTF Wednesday: WTF Just Happened Here?
WTF… Did I seriously just lose my job? Ok, so I have to admit it, it was no dream job. It was just a part-time job that I took so I could have more time with my little boy, have time to finish school and bank a second Maternity leave. All I wanted out of the job I got. Memories Whored’d
We spent the afternoon at my Husband’s grandparent’s house yesterday. My husband must have been feeling nostalgic because he asked his Grandmother if she has any photos of him when he was a baby. His Grandmother left the room and returned with several photos albums. We spent the next hour pouring over photos albums spanning through the 70s (before we were even born) and the 80s (our fashion tragic childhood).
