Marking the Moments

IMG_0239

I haven’t been so glued to my TV in a long time; the Olympics have officially sucked me in and my nails have been paying for it. I’m not normally a nail biter but, once I start… I cannot stop. The Canada vs. Slovakia game left both my thumbs and my ring fingers completely ravaged and I now have to endure finger shame for the next few weeks. Damn, what I do in the name of hockey! It hasn’t been all about the Olympics in the last week though. Last Saturday was my Husband’s big 30th Birthday Bash which was read more…

WTF Wednesday: Nightmare on my Street

The problem started about three years ago. We were expecting our first baby and, like most new parents, we had bought copious amounts of baby swag in preparation for the arrival of our new little life form. There was a good deal of gear: Car seats, strollers, a crib, a swing, a bathtub, carriers, etc. The list went on and on and everything came in big, huge, cardboard boxes and the warranties for all this baby gear demanded that all original packaging must be kept. Guest Post: An Olympic Inspired WTF Wednesday

A old friend and steady blog supporter had a WTF he HAD TO GET OUT today. His blog is not up and running yet so, I thought I would give him an outlet. It will have little relevance to your lives as I am a read more…

A Mish Mash and Prep for a Bash

I have been busy all week getting ready for my Husband’s big 30th Birthday Party. It’s not a surprise party, he gave me specific instructions no surprises were allowed and I, for once, listened to him and obliged. I love planning parties and tend to go a little over board so, I tried very hard not to go too out of control this time. I kept the guest list reasonably small, we have a compact home (ok, its small as shit but compact just sounds more quaint) so I trimmed the fat so to speak and luckily, my husband is read more…

WTF Wednesday: Anonymity Does Not Give You The Right

Being home with two little kids all day everyday can be hard so, having my blog as an outlet to constructively vent my frustrations is very cathartic; my husband can tell you first hand that regular WTF posts make for a less bitchy happier wife. Last weeks WTF post about Pelvic Exams being performed in hospitals without proper consent was a hot topic. I see that as a positive; I strongly believe that any issue that gets people thinking and actively debating is a good thing. If you know me, you know that apathy makes me sick and I see read more…
