Gluten Free Lasagna

My Picture Perfect (and yummy) Lasagna

One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to write more and here I am, January 24th, and I haven’t even published one post. I am a sucky, sucky blogger momma. What can I say, with two kids I could find the time, with three kids, I ALWAYS have something else I need to do. Today in my free 1 hour and 46 minutes (glorious, heavenly nap time how I love you) I was confronted with the usual; some laundry, lunch clean-up, a messy playroom and dinner prep. I finished it all *insert cheering here* but of course, there was no read more…

Word Association… The Best is Yet to Come.

green grass & blue sky bliss

Let’s play a little game of word association shall we. Suburbs… eeek, please it’s like a dirty word. Minivan… yeah right. Quiet Country Living… not for me. Suburban minivan driving Mommy enjoying quiet country living… kill me now. If you had played that game with me 1 year and 18 days ago, I would have answered exactly that way.  If you had asked me then if I would ever move to the suburbs, I would have scoffed, looked at you like you were crazy and said: No Way, NEVER! On Selling My House

My Show Home

This selling house thing is becoming all consuming. I am telling you right now, it is not healthy for me. I mean I already swing toward the Type A/neurotic side of things and this house selling thing is making me SO MUCH WORSE. I am telling you, it has kicked my neuroses into overdrive. Like I won’t do certain things that could be messy cause we might have a showing. Or I have to dust read more…

Welcome Poppy

Birth Announcment made by Pinch of Spice

If you read the blog regularly or follow me on Twitter, you probably already know I welcomed my third child, a baby girl, on Nov 28th. I haven’t written a formal post welcoming her yet because I have been feeling a bit emotional about the whole thing and I needed to give myself a little bit of time. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know that this baby was a huge surprise for us. Not even 3 weeks before I found out I was pregnant, Hubby and I had abandoned our idea of a third read more…

Baked With Love

Kristine's Caramel Apple Cheese Cake

My mother was a terrible cook. Like smoke alarm sounding, oven slamming, pot scrapping terrible. It wasn’t so much that she lacked the ability, it was more that she would get distracted by something else and walk away from the kitchen only to find her thoughtfully planned meal burnt. As a child, I distinctly remember the sound of a knife scrapping across burnt bread as my mom frequently attempted to save a forgotten and therefore blackened grilled cheese sandwich. I will never forget the aroma of my scrapped down grilled cheese or the speckles of burnt crumbs that littered the read more…
