In The Closet

My Closet

I kind of have a thing for HGTV. It is a bit like a dependable friend for me. When my kids are napping and I have baskets upon baskets of laundry to fold, I can pop it on and almost always find a mindless it’s ok to Zombie out and miss several minutes because there is zero plot, kind of show. You know the type of shows I am talking about, it’s a couple, or a dude or a chick who are looking for the perfect house and they have their completely unrealistic check-list and their minuscule budget and they read more…

Hubby: *Blank Stare, zero recognition* Me: Ummmm. *face going red * Well you know how you sleep on the right-hand side of the read more…

Unread

Journal open

My mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer just after the May long weekend in 2000. I’m not one to have premonitions about things, but that May long weekend, I distinctly remember having a strong feeling that something was very wrong. Within days of having that feeling, I came home from work to find my mother and brother crying in our living room. That was when the big ‘C’ word first made its appearance in my life. Within weeks of her initial diagnosis we learned that my Mom’s cancer was a rare form called Inflammatory Breast Cancer that is highly aggressive, read more…
