WTF Has Happened to M?
Let me just start this post by saying that I have no problem with dancing transvestites or, any transvestites for that matter. Now that we have that out of the way…
WTF was Madonna thinking?
In keeping with my morning routine, I logged onto Lainey Gossip yesterday and was excited to find a post of the new Madonna video for ‘Celebration’. Being a big M fan, I fired it up ASAP.
Thirty seconds into the video, I was feeling a little confused. I held my thumb up and covered Madonna’s head and I could have sworn, I was watching a dancing tranny complete with a tucked and tapped package. WTF?
I was born in 1980 so, it goes with out saying, that Madonna has been a big part of my life. I bought or begged for, almost every one of her albums. I even had Material Girl on a 45 record that I played over and over again on my little orange, Fisher Price record player. I am a big M fan. I have been loyal, I have been dedicated, I even tried to like Swept Away (I emphasize try) but now, I am disappointed.
For me, it really began to unravel with Hard Candy. That album was such crap that it did not even warrant an illegal download. She follows that crap up with this? The dress, the sunglasses, the boots, the moves, it was all bad. It was so wrong. Not wrong in a Madonna it’s so wrong it’s good way either. Just plain bad, wrong.
It leaves me thinking: Is my girlhood idol a try hard… and a tranny look alike? WTF right?
This has implications. It goes beyond the sad reality that Madonna may be losing her touch and getting old and try hard. It means that I am getting old too. Damn it.
On the flip side, I just made my Brother watch the video and he said maybe she wants people to think she looks like a tranny… maybe it’s the point. Her statement.
Maybe.
But I doubt it.
WTF?
The bad news… when I was just about to post, I tested the link to the video and, what do you know, Warner pulled it off YouTube. You’ll have to wait to get your dancing tranny fix a little longer. Here are 2 teaser versions.
